Race report by Alessio Menicucci
Lrp Challenge Gran Final took place in Rome on T5 track. It is located in a very nice sporting center that offered us every kind of services. It is a very technical track with an amazing traction. The race saw around 90 drivers divided in 5 classes: Classic, F1, 17.5 Blinky, 13.5 Blinky and Modified. Race started very early on Sunday morning where drivers were ready to have some free practices, followed by three qualifications. Starting grid have been decided by the best run out of three.

13.5 Finals:
This class was, like every race, the most populated. Many fast drivers let the audience have a great fun with their actions. The fight was very close already from qualification round. Massimo Fabiani was able to be TQ with a clean driving, thanks to a very consistent and stable T4. Massimo was followed by his teammates Marco Puleo and Emanuele Rossi.

In the finals Massimo was very fast and concentrated and it allowed him to win every final without mistakes. Behind him, Marco Puleo managed very well his 2nd place followed by Valter Cola. 4th Place for Antonio Cassarino who showed a great performance starting 7th. He was able to avoid crashes and he drove so clean to obtain this good result, congratulations!! Same story for Calcatelli Pierluigi, from 8th to 6th. Mr. Lrp Italy Umberto Pernice was extremely unlucky when at last final he was going to get the overall 3rd place when he had some problems with the transmitter and he crashed finishing 5th overall.

I’m sorry for Emanuele Rossi because he was very fast starting from the 3rd place on the grid but he was crashed every final from other drivers. Also many good drivers run B main for some mistakes in qualifications, like Andrea Valerio and Roberto Fabiano.

Modified Finals:
Already from the free practice I had a good feeling with my T4. I engaged immediately a tight fight with my teammate and friend Alessandro Brunelli and it continued also all over the race. I was able to take the Pole position in front of Alessandro and Alessio Valentini. I won every final in front of Brunelli who was close to me. Valentini completed this XRAY podium. Two ‶old school※ drivers like Alberto Giorgio and Alessandro Manciocchi participated to this event and we had so much fun together.
